TZUYING WANG (WAN)

Growing up in a multicultural environment, the surrounding has cultivated my independence, inclusiveness, and responsibility.

My dad owns an interior design firm in Taiwan. When I was young, I used to flip through a thick book with all kinds of material on his desk. Touching a different textile and seeing the interesting patterns and colors always attracted my attention.

I also went to the construction site with him. Watching a house start from scratch to completion was astonishing. All this process fascinated me. Originally my dad wished me to stay in Taiwan and joined his firm.
However, I am curious about everything, and love a challenge.

I came to the US when I was 19 and transferred from the University of Kentucky to SCAD. I attempted as many directions as I could; for instance: information communication technology, visual effects and medical illustration.
I even took an anatomy class at SCAD.

After all these experiences, interior design still appealed to me the most. In 2018, I pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from SCAD. When my dad found out that I finally chose the same path as him, he looked at me and said,
"See! I told you!"

The diverse educational background allows me to see the world from a multi-perspective. As a transfer student from digital media and design, I incorporated the passion of photography into interior design that small things matter.
The composition, lighting, and aesthetics tell a story.

Interior design is a combination of art and science. A mix of ration and emotion brings vitality to space.
I always see essential detail from simplicity, making the experience full of artistic and full of surprises.
Every interior design is a unique story accomplished by users and designers, built on time and space.
